Anna started her new job a few weeks ago. But, Quinn’s school didn’t start back up until this week. I am sure that juggling child care was a pain for Anna and her parents but my mom and I felt pretty lucky to get to watch Quinn on a recent Friday.
I know that there are some among you who just visit this site in the hope of glimpsing a shot for my favorite little kid (with my cousin Annie Brown running a very close second, of course). And, I have been bad about posting photos to satisfy that demographic. So, here you go.
It is amazing to watch a child develop and see how quickly they begin to pick up on things. On this particular day I was trying to take pictures of Quinn with my iPhone to send to Anna. Quinn, on the other hand, was having none of it. After averting her eyes every time that the iPhone came out, she finally turned to me in total exasperation and said “No, that one,” pointing at my Canon 5D sitting its bag. What can I say, the girl knows quality when she sees it. With the 5D out, she was more than happy to clown around and smile for the camera.
Its a blessing to have such an inquisitive and bright child in your life. I just hope she doesn’t start to insist on backdrops and off-camera lighting whenever I want to take a picture of her. But who can say no to that face?
