The Bridge and Lightning

No one who lives in the Baton Rouge area needs to be told that we had an amazing lightning storm last night. After I shot the Bob Edwards event for WRKF, I stopped at my house and picked up my wide-angle lens and AEO Lightning Strike trigger. I packed it up to the top of one of the casino parking garages and set up the camera.

The lightning trigger is great but last night I didn’t really need it. There was so much going on that you could have just kept shooting and you would have ended up with something. I ended up with lots of lightning shots but this one is by far the best. Three cloud to ground strike around the bridge in one frame, I couldn’t have asked for much more.

Talk about the majestic power of nature.
