The Best 600 Miles on Bad Shocks You Could Hope For

My friend Luca and I made a huge loop through the deep south last week. It was a great trip and I got a lot of material for articles and book chapters. However, these photos document the more absurd side of the trip, including too much Kentucky Whiskey, a Bone Handled Skinning Knife, Climbing the Highest Point in the state of Louisiana (not very high) in the Rain and crossing the I-10 bridge back into Baton Rouge just in time to catch Built to Spill. It was about the most fun I’ve had in 36 hours in a long time. So, here is to good friends, long car rides, the interesting places that rise up before you and palatable bourbon.

And how about the air I was catching from a standing leap? I know, I know. Save your flattery.
