Bungee Terminal at Night, in Flood
An hour long exposure as the moon was setting over a grain terminal on the Mississippi. Flood water around its base reflect back the tall silos and stars mark their slow progress through the sky. Taken near Saint Joseph, Louisiana in the first weeks of the Mississippi Flood of 2011.

45 Minutes Over Baja
A 45 minute long exposure taken in a dry creek bed in southern Baja, Mexico. The stars all appears to rotate around Polaris and a lone saguaro cactus stands atop a red, limestone ridge near the Bay of Cortez.

Hay Bales Along the River
Also taken during the Mississippi Flood of 2011, these hay bales sat and waited in the shadow of a river-soaked levee north of Saint Joseph, Louisiana.
Cattle on the Levee
Taken along the eastern levee of the Morganza watershed after the Corp of Engineers had begun inundating the low ground south of LA Highway 190 in an effort to prevent flooding in Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
When you look deep into the bovine, the bovine also looks back into you.

In many ways, my favorite shot from 2010. This is a photograph of clouds stacking up above a group of three Native American mounds near the plantation of Balmoral, near Newellton, Louisiana. Shot using a Neutral Density filter. The photograph was featured in the May, 2011 issue of Indian Country Magazine.
