I absolutely agree. We simply must support the buses. It won't cost any of us very much. The buses play such a vital roll in helping many people maintain jobs. These are people with children that need to be provided for. Crime often goes up when large numbers of people are without work. So, do the math.

Dear Frank,
I received a link to your photographs and notes from a Google Alert I have set up for Saint John of God. I am appreciative of the sensitivity of your notes and so I would love to give you some history of Saint John of God Hospital Granada, Nicaragua. It is intriguing to come across the town name in Nicaragua and I wonder which came first SJOG Hospital or Granada. The possibility is that the Saint John of God Brothers built there because of the town's name.
St John of God - John Ciudad- devoted the last ten years of his life caring for the sick and homeless of Granada, Spain (1539-1550) Portuguese by birth he died on his 55th birthday. His followers of whom I am a member living in Dublin, Ireland brought his legacy, the charism of St John of God hospitality, all around the world and we are to be found to this day in over 50 countries.

Hey Carl, no worries. I know exactly what you mean about highlights being the issue. I guess there are just different ways to skin the cat. For a shot like this one I felt I was already pushing things by shooting a 135mm lens at 1/100 of a second and I hate to go to ISO 6400 so f/2 was kind of a necessity. That said, I can totally get your point and bang my head in frustration often when I am shooting in conditions like this because you can end up losing so much detail in the darks and still have your highlights blown out. It is just a juggling exercise in balancing settings with output priorities. Dfine is great but even it can't save some stuff shot at ISO 6400 with a 5D MkII, in my experience. Regardless, I appreciate you checking this out and I appreciate your comments.
